katniss lives again!

MOCKINGJAY!

I finally started the book. So far its great. It's Josh's day off though so I probably won't get much reading done today because I'm sure he wants to spend it with me....or is it me who wants to spend it with him. Regardless, we'll be together today--with Avery of course. Who, by the way, celebrated her 11 month birthday yesterday! Where has the time gone? Naturally, we had to celebrate so we went to Red Robin. It was delicious!

Josh started his online classes yesterday. 5 of them to be exact. He received another "congrats your gpa was great" email for summer semester so he is apparently thriving in his online school. Way to go Josh! He LOVES his new job!

Avery is as cute as ever. She is getting very brave and is starting to let go of the furniture as she cruises around. I think her max is like 8 or 10 steps.

As for me...well, there isn't much. You know its bad when you start to lose track of what day it is. Thank goodness for cell phones so I can check to see if its Wednesday or Thursday. Its because of Josh's schedule. He works Saturday-Wednesday and has Thursday and Friday off, so it just gets me all confused. I'll get used to it eventually, I'm sure.

Well, Josh keeps coming in to check if I'm done, so I'll post pictures soon!

avery's new nickname: katniss

it seems i'm always behind in reading popular books. i think i read most of the harry potter books in one summer and then had to wait till i got home from my mission to read the 7th book. the twilight series was no exception. i read them after i saw the first movie.

and just recently i finished the first two books in the hunger games trilogy. now i can't wait for the third book to come out. Mockingjay, which comes out in 8 days, is now on the top of my list of books to read. its currently the only one on the list, but that doesn't take away from it being on the top.

i'm sure josh is glad i have nothing to read at the moment. i've always enjoyed reading, but i guess i just don't do it as much as i'd like. but, when i do read...i read, and read, and read, and read, and read...until the book is complete. I have a really hard time doing anything else and thinking of anything else until i've finished the book, so i'm sure this short break has come as a relief to him. my requests for "twenty more minutes" of him watching avery while i read turn into hours sometimes. what a great husband he is for letting me indulge in those books for the last few days. but, its all over....

at least for 8 more days...
